What is a slam lock?
Slam locks are fitted as an integral part of the locking mechanisms within your vehicle. Slam locks automatically work by locking as you close the door of your vehicle. This slick locking mechanism comes into its own for drivers who frequently leave their vehicles, e.g. delivery drivers, tradespeople. A key is needed to unlock a slam lock but locking is automatic as the door is closed, making it easier to keep your vehicle secure if your hands are full. Whilst inside the vehicle, the slam lock can be easily unlocked. Your vehicle and its contents are protected from theft.
What is a deadlock?
This type of lock is fitted separately to the existing locks on your vehicle. They act in a similar way to the deadbolts that are fitted within front doors.
